Virgin America was one of the airlines to switch gates after the gate shuffle. They are now located at Gate 19 in Terminal 3. Virgin America recently finished a brand new lounge for Virgin America passengers.
After American Airlines moved to the now finished Terminal 6, the old American gates in Terminal 3 were vacant. United purchased some of the gates a few weeks later. Lufthansa now owns the gate were Sao Paulo and London Heathrow flights for American departed. The gate to the right is now owned by future PLV airlines, Thai Airways. The airport director said that this is a great move for the airlines because the International side of Terminal 1 was getting crowded and could not support any new airlines. Now, it can support Delta's partners and the other airlines are now by Alliance Members.
Delta announced last week that Delta Connection will have 2 flights a day to and from Guadalajara to PLV. The flights will most likely depart out of Terminal 5.
American Airlines recently finished it's planned Terminal 6 at PLV. The terminal includes two lounges and has 9 gates. American owns 19 of those gates and Qantas, Qatar, and British Airways own 3. American now has room to expand service from PLV.
